During the Miner's Strike of '84-85 I started doing kid's disco's on a Wednesday Night at Pontefract Labour club. They were decent. You can imagine, there was some belt tightening going on as the strike rolled over into winter so they really did provide a cheap and cheerful entertainment. Within a few weeks I started on Saturday Nights for grown ups. They were legendaray.
